The most popular teeth whitening system and one that is often advertised in television and in magazines are the whitening strips. These strips contain a whitening agent that when placed on the teeth for thirty minutes at a time for several days or weeks results in bleaching of any stains. This type of teeth whitening system can be purchased for use over the course of a week or up to two weeks. The duration of the treatment usually determines the price of the product. For example one that is used daily for a month will cost less than a teeth whitening system that is only used for a week. They are great because they are easy to use and the results generally last for at least a year.

Another type of system that is even less expensive involves the use of a liquid is purchased in a small container complete with a brush for application. Although this teeth whitening system is cheap, it won’t give you the best results. You will need to use the product for several months before seeing any noticeable difference in the color of the teeth. You also have to dry your teeth before applying the solution and keep your mouth open for the duration.
